On August 14, the Chinese Red Cross first disaster recovery project in Sichuan was held stone laying ceremony in Deyang City. The project is the city’s Huang Xu primary school reconstruction.

Huang Xu primary school redevelopment area includes 6370 square meters campus, teaching Building of 3338 square meters. This primary school reconstruction projects marks Chinese Red Cross assistance for post-disaster reconstruction projects started in Sichuan.

At the stone laying ceremony, the Chinese Red Cross executive vice president Jiang Yiman, Secretary-General Wang Jing and local leaders of Sichuan People's Government opened shovel foundation for the reconstruction of school’s buildings

In addition, on the same day in Deyang, the RCSC and the Sichuan Provincial Red Cross,

Deyang City Red Cross, as well as the six urban county government signed agreements for reconstruction. It is learnt that the agreements including the six counties in Deyang, in which are 49 urban renewal projects, the redevelopment project of 9 New Village, 21 village facilities (health stations and activity rooms), six schools, 13 hospitals, the total amount of 130 million yuan.
