By Feb.5, the Red Cross Society of China (RCSC) had received over 17 million yuan ($2.5 million) of donation forquake-hit victims in Haiti. The donating cash comes from all walks of life nationwid.
According to the statistics, amount of the donation is composed of ones from corporations, individuals and local RC branches.
RCSC started receiving donation for Haiti on Jan 14, and separately donated $1 million to its Haiti counterpart and $500,000 to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies for supporting relief opearation in Haiti.
