Since summer rainy/floods season came, the Red Cross Society of China (RCSC) has successively received donations from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Red Cross Organizations as well as international community's generous donations and condolences.
Up to August 20, the Chinese Red Cross has received the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies' 500,000 Swiss francs of food and cooking utensils for 5,000 household's victims;
U.S. Embassy to China donated $150,000 for the victims of flood and landslides; Australian Red Cross donated totaling 345,000 Australian dollars by raising contributions from public;
Taiwan Red Cross organization donated 40,000 boxes meals and $150,000; Hong Kong Red Cross donated relief materials worth 2,385,900 yuan, and Kerry Holdings Limited in Hong Kong donated 20 million Hong Kong dollars; the Macao Red Cross has donated MOP 3.736 million and 300,000 yuan for disaster relief.
Meanwhile, Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies of Iran, Laos and South Korea also have sent a message of sympathy to express deep concern about the affected people in the country.
